Hello Friends
I purchased some EKSuccess Alphabet and numbers stamps recently and I have been having all sorts of problems trying to make a word and get the letters to line up etc. I know you can just stamp the individual letters onto squares of paper and make the word out of blocks but I was hoping to just be able to print them side by side, evenly and nicely. Any tips and help would be great!

The best way to get your stamps nice and straight is to use a positioner. Essentially the positioner looks like a an oversized L and is thick plastic, you use the plastic to keep your stamps in a straight line. It is a bit of a plava! My suggestion is to make a feature out the fact that your stamps are not lined up! I do this with stickers too!!!

I have to admit that when I stamp letters, I like to stamp them separately and then adhere them to my project . . . that way I know that the stamped alpha letter is going to go exactly where I want it and I can get the spacing the way I like too!
When it comes to scrolls, flowers, etc. I find it doesn't matter as much and so I'll then stamp directly onto my project.
I have heard of the 'Positioner' that Cathy mentions BUT I have to admit that I don't own one myself, nor have I used one.

Thanks so much for your ideas Shirley and Cathy. Shirley, when you cut out each letter do you cut out a block of paper around the letter or do you just cut around the edge of the letter?

I guess it depends on the project . . . if I've used my larger foam alpha stamps, then I'll cut them out individually BUT if they are my smaller ones, I'll usually just cut them out like a scrabble tile effect. If I'm stamping direct onto my project, I tend to do like Cathy said and just be deliberate in NOT making them straight - I turn them on slight angles - left & right - and that way the look is more even . . . or should I say uneven
